Kingston Mills Picnic Tour

If you are looking for a more adventurous bike ride, may I suggest my Kingston Mills Picnic tour. This half-day trip makes its way up to Kingston Mills, the first locks on the Rideau Canal, and there we will enjoy all the beauty and history while having a leisurely picnic consisting of a good selection of breads, cheese, fruit, cold cuts and desserts, as well as refreshments. On our way back into town we will go through Barriefield village and have stops at Fort Henry and the RMC campus.

Cyclists wishing to take this tour are strongly advised to wear helmets and must be willing to obey the rules of the road. I am a nationally certified Can-Bike cycling skills instructor and have a lot of experience leading group tours. For more tour information please e-mail me at fractals@kingston.net

Steve Lawrence

“I did very much enjoy the sights, the history and the introduction to architectural heritage. Mostly, Steve, I enjoyed your enthusiasm for good cycling within the city, and your natural, relaxed approach. It was fun being with you and capturing your spirit.”
