Learn to Sail

This is 2 hours of "hands on" sailing instruction with an experienced sailor. You will be in control of the boat at all times with helpful guidance from your instructor. The boats used for this will be either the Laser 1 or Hobie Wave. (See Sailing Rental page for images)

This way of introducing people to sailing has proven very popular over the years at Ahoy Rentals for the following reasons:

• Flexibility: Choose a time that best suits YOUR busy schedule

• One-on-one Learning: The instructor gives you 2 full hours of his/her attention to teach you, answer your questions and monitor your progress

• Time: Learn the basics of sailing in only 2 hours

This will allow you (given favourable wind conditions) to bring a friend down and take them out to experience the joys of sailing

Times available:
Lessons starting anytime between 10:00am to 4:00pm
Material will be provided before hand

Learn to Paddle a Canoe or Kayak

Let our experienced staff introduce you to the joy of canoeing or kayaking or improve your present level.  Topics covered: paddling techniques, getting in and out of the kayak from the dock and what to do if you fall out while out on the water.  Courses tailored to one or two persons only, sorry we cannot accomodate large groups.
