Skippered Sailing charters
Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be on one of those sailboats gliding along Kingston’s waterfront? The view of beautiful, historic Kingston from the water is a wonderfully unique, exciting perspective.
Even if you’ve never sailed before, this is your opportunity to push off for an afternoon or evening sail with our friendly, experienced skipper; discover why we are known as “Canada’s Freshwater Sailing Capital”.
Your skipper, Andrew Kelm, has over 15 years of sailing experience on the waters around Kingston. He is certified by Transport Canada to take out groups for commercial purposes, and has excellent local knowledge of wind and weather.
Your reserved charter is your own personal outing; no other passengers will join you. The experience is of your own making; you can let your skipper do all the work, or you can pull a few ropes or even steer the boat a little under the watchful eyes of your captain.
The vessel used for all of our sailing charters is a 24-foot sailing sloop named Cygnet, built in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. Her roomy cockpit allows you lots of room to stretch out, and there is room below to stow any extra clothing or snacks that you may want to bring along.
Maximum group size for all charters is five people. Choose from one of the three sailing packages listed below:
1 Hour: $110
2 Hour: $200
3 Hour: $250
Full Day: $450 (max 8 hours)
Departure times are flexible and can be arranged at the time of your booking; however, full-day charters leave the dock at 10 a.m.
